Resource Machinery Concepts and Props!


When creating a 3D model, a 2D concept reference point is important to get started. Pulling inspiration from real life machinery mixed with sci-fi fantasy, concepts were made for a crop machine and 3D printer to create a visual for our game's props. Our game revolves around resource management in outer space, and within our ship are various machines that produce the resources needed.

Our machinery aesthetics are more modern looking with streamlined shape language.

This was another concept initially design for potato crops, going for a more compact approach, but with more "chunky" shapes.

This is a design created for visual direction in modeling the 3D printer prop in our game.


These concepts were all created by Alissa Corbut, with the help of gathering feedback from all team members. The designs are not fully intended to be absolute final, but as a starting point to begin the modeling phase.
